About Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been used as a healing practice for thousands of years. Your body has the innate ability to heal itself; acupuncture can help with this process.
Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine needles into ‘Acupoints’ located along the energy channels called meridians.
‘Acupoints’ can be described as vortexes of energy – they show a difference in electrical potential to other areas of the body – these points can be sensitive to touch and their assessment is useful in my diagnosis.
I often examine their sensitivity or tenderness, and any changes in skin colour. Acupuncture is painless, you may be aware of subtle sensations at first like tingling, pulling or ache, but once all needles are inserted these sensations settle and many people experience a feeling of deep relaxation. Acupuncture aims to improve overall health and well-being.
My style is based on TCM Acupuncture and Meridian Theory-based Acupuncture. I use scalp acupuncture for neurological disorders. I have experience in treating clients for pain, post-op recovery, gynaecological problems, digestive and respiratory disorders, skin conditions, modern chronic illnesses and autoimmune disorders.
My Acupuncture therapy clinic is located in Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 7QU. I am located within easy travel distance of Manchester City Centre, The M60 and the M602.
