Passionate About Acupuncture
I started my massage training in 2005, in my home country – Czech Republic. I had the privilege to meet and train with a Qi Gong and Tai Chi master Seymour Koblin, the inventor of a unique body work Zen-Touch Shiatsu.
After I completed my degree of Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupuncture at the University of Salford in 2010, I went on to join some great clinics and practised alongside some fantastic and renowned acupuncturists.
In 2015 I set up my own clinic – Ren Acupuncture – offering a broad range of therapies – acupuncture, cupping, ChiInese food therapy, deep tissue massage, zen-touch shiatsu massage, meridian stretches and meditation. I continue to develop and deepen my skills through training and teaching.
I specialise in pain management, mental health, women’s health and children’s health. There is a Chinese saying: “Where there is pain, there is no free flow”. Pain is a sign of a blockage. The main culprits which contribute to blocked energy are stress, lifestyle, diet, excessive emotions, and overstimulation. Blocked energy can manifest as pain, low mood or depression.
I encourage my clients to slow down, breathe properly, exercise and invest into regular selfcare such as massage and acupuncture. Based on the Traditional Chinese medicine theory of the thermal nature and flavours of foods I advise my clients on how to use food as medicine.
I treat women of all ages, helping to harmonise hormonal imbalances. Children are very responsive to dietary changes and to the right attention. I rarely need to use acupuncture, instead a gentle acupressure or massage are effective ways to treat children, and easy to use for parents.
I believe that each person has their own doctor inside
It is inevitable for the body to age and get tired, but we can always find an optimal balance in any situation, at any age. The question is not always “how to get cured”, but “how to live”. You may be surprised how simple breathing or stretching exercises, dietary or habit changes, and positive attitudes can impact the quality of your life, mood and sleep.
Within each human being there is a small universe of its own. From this inner universe, and from the relationships between the body’s organs, and our interpersonal relationships come the 5 emotions:
Anger, Joy, Worry, Grief or Sadness, Fright & Shock.
They are a powerful source of energy which can be utilised to our advantage. When the inner universe is harmonious and our energy is strong and balanced, we can ward off the disharmonies and pressures of the outer universe. When we exhaust our energy through excessive activity, irregular habits, overwork, suppressed or excessive emotions, this inner protection is depleted, resulting in a lowered immunity, frequent illness, emotional instability and pain.
Taking an adequate rest – physical, mental and emotional – especially after exertion, investing into regular self-care such as acupuncture and massage, balancing negative attitudes with positive ones, and so on, helps to restore harmony.
Although today, our health issues seem more complex, the solutions remain simple. I look forward to hearing from you and will be happy to help you on your journey towards more balanced health.
Wishing you much light, health and happiness!
